Job Title: Medical Assistant - Plastic Surgery

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team at The Craniofacial and Plastic Surgery Center. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our physicians in a fast-paced medical environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for exams and procedures, ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience.
  • Assist physicians with clinical and administrative tasks, including scheduling surgeries, maintaining accurate records, and communicating with patients and families.
  • Provide excellent patient interaction and communication skills, ensuring patients feel informed and supported throughout their care.
  • Work effectively as a team member with physicians, manager, and other staff to achieve common goals.
  • Flexibly respond to changing demands and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Communicate clearly with team members, physicians, and manager to ensure seamless coordination of patient care.
  • Perform various administrative duties, including ordering medical supplies, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Assist with earwell patients and perform dental mold and assist with Nasal Alveolar Molding as needed.
  • Keep up with patient tracker and maintain cleanliness, organized, and general appearance of the office and work space area.
  • Answer phones within the first two rings with a professional and helpful demeanor.
  • Run the daily schedules at least one day ahead and make copies for the physician, manager, and staff.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant training or certificate preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a medical office setting, with plastic surgery experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance practices, and computer programs and applications.
  • Skills in assessment and assistance techniques, written and verbal communication, organization, professionalism, customer focus, confidentiality, and medical teamwork.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member, react calmly in emergency situations, and flexibly respond to changing demands.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to speak Spanish preferred.
  • College degree preferred.
