Accounting Assistant

Responsibilities
- Operates computer and related programs to provide support.*
- Processes accounts payable invoices (Inventory/ Non-Inventory) on a timely basis, along with preparing invoices for payment.*
- Responds to vendor inquires in a timely manner.*
- Generates daily customer invoicing along with updating all related reports.*
- Responds to customer inquiries in an efficient manner.*
- Prepares and processes cash receipts on the financial system and updates all related reports.*
- Processes inventory transactions with appropriate approval as needed.*
- Maintains general ledger and journals on computer to include monitoring accounts for discrepancies. This also includes month-end account reconciliations.*
- Assists with accounting department responsibilities (data entry, copying, collating, filing, organizing, etc.) as needed.*
- Provides back up support on the company phone system.*
- Supports Operations Team on Duty Drawback duties as required.*
- Performs other related duties as required.
