Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the general ledger by recording daily financial transactions, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
  • Reconcile bank statements, balance sheets, and income statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
  • Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts. Analyze variances between actual and budgeted figures.
  • Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
  • Prepare supporting documentation and assist in both internal and external audits.
  • Monitor and report on departmental expenses, ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines.
  • Track and manage the company's fixed assets, ensuring proper capitalization, depreciation, and disposal.
  • Identify areas for process improvements within the accounting department and assist in the implementation of new procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial and accounting regulations, including GAAP, SOX, and other relevant standards.
  • Participate in special projects as needed, including financial analysis, system implementation, and cross-functional initiatives.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of accounting experience, preferably within a corporate environment.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and trends.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in preparing financial reports and reconciling accounts.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong sense of integrity and ethics in handling sensitive financial information.
