Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Funeral Service Driver to join our team at SCI Shared Resources LLC. As a Funeral Service Driver, you will play a vital role in providing safe and respectful transportation to bereaved families during their time of need.

Responsibilities
  • Drive company-owned vehicles safely to transport bereaved family members to funeral services, visitations, and receptions.
  • Pick up and return family members to their place of residence as needed.
  • Consistently punctual and arrive on or before appointments.
  • Courteously and professionally interact with bereaved family members, exhibiting sensitivity to their environment.
  • Load and unload family mementos or flowers and assist with bringing them into the family's residence.
  • Transport and deliver caskets to airports, care centers, or cemeteries, and assist with moving caskets as needed.
  • Courier documents, family mementos, or flowers to and from the Funeral Home and family's residence.
  • Assist Removal Technicians with driving or lifting and transporting as needed.
  • Maintain passenger comfort supplies, such as tissues, water, or umbrellas.
  • Identify vehicle engine or operating issues to management and drive vehicles for repair or inspection.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Current state/province issued driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Chauffeur's license as required by state/province law.
  • At least one (1) year work experience as a courier, driver, or with direct customer interaction strongly preferred.
Benefits
