Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Bilingual Program Coordinator to lead our flagship community K-5th grade after-school & summer programs. This part-time role offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity to make a significant impact on our community. As a lead coordinator in our program, you will oversee curriculum building, create classroom activities, organize program registration, secure volunteer tutors, and serve as the vital link between our program and 2 local school districts, ensuring an enriching experience for students and their families.
Bilingual Program Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Program Management: Build age-appropriate classroom activities, manage teaching staff and volunteer tutors. Organize student registration during each school semester and summer programs for Red Hook and Rhinebeck.
- Liaison Role: Act as the primary contact for school districts’ teachers, principals, and ESL educators.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate registration, medical, photo release forms, program surveys and attendance records.
- Parent Engagement: Build and sustain strong relationships with parents/families, providing essential communications in Spanish or English as needed.
- Event Coordination: Organize parent information sessions and end-of-semester celebrations.
- Fluency in Spanish is a must.
- Prior experience in education or the non-profit sector is required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication abilities and interpersonal skills.
