Job DescriptionJob Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cold Formed Steel (CFS) Draftsperson to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of CFS framing systems, proficiency in Revit and StrucSoft, and the ability to create detailed and accurate shop drawings for CFS projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed shop drawings for CFS framing projects, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and completeness of drawings.
  • Utilize AutoCAD/Revit/StrucSoft software to create and modify drawings efficiently.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of CFS industry standards and best practices.
  • Review and interpret architectural and structural drawings to ensure proper CFS framing coordination.
  • Generate material takeoffs and bill of materials (BOMs) for CFS projects.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and clients to address design inquiries and resolve issues.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in CFS drafting or a related field.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD software (2D and 3D) is essential.
  • Strong understanding of CFS framing systems, components, and construction techniques.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drawings.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with relevant building codes and industry standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with other BIM software is a plus.
  • Knowledge of CFS manufacturing processes and fabrication techniques.
  • Familiarity with project management software and tools.
