Position Overview:
- As a Benefit Specialist, you are responsible for delivering high quality, friendly, professional, timely and accurate responses to members’ questions about their benefits.
- Assist with claims adjudication and communicate with providers offices, pharmacies, etc.
- Generate, format, and summarize standard claims data extracts using reporting tools and Microsoft Excel
- Effectively resolve questions and concerns in a considerate, professional, and timely manner using a variety of communication channels (phone, email, web)
- Interpret and explain deductibles, out of pocket benefits and other plan related info to members
- Follow-up to thoroughly address members’ questions or concerns, such as researching claim-related information with third-party vendors
Desired Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; College education preferred
- 3+ Customer Service required; 2+yrs in Benefits, Claims, Healthcare, Insurance preferred
- Excellent communication and people skills and team player that's professional, friendly and has a positive can-do-attitude
- Computer skills the include MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint; EMR & CRM experience a plus
- Ability to work in-office M-F first shift
- Willingness to submit to pre-employment screenings
