What Does this Position Entail?
1. Data entry of transactions into accounting software with a high level of accuracy.
2. Supports accounts payable processes and recurring timeline.
3. Supporting historical transaction detail requests from managers & directors.
4. Assists with counting and reconciling deposits.
5. Handles all filing for accounting department and ensures the company paperless filing system is maintained, accurate, and conducts audits to ensure its accuracy.
6. Supports Payroll Manager with various requests relating to the preparation of payroll.
7. Become the lead for garnishments, child support, and various payroll deductions.
8. Maintains relationship with external vendors for payroll specific support, including making on-time payments.
9. Supports monthly closing procedures and attends accounting meetings.
10. Collects, prepares, and reconciles various reports, statements, and information from several departments within the organization.
11. Complies with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
12. Performs all other duties/responsibilities as necessary or assigned.
Job Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet the minimum qualifications listed below. These qualifications are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform this job.
● Must be at least 21 years old.
● Bachelor’s degree in accounting or 2 years accounting experience is a plus.
● Proficient in all Microsoft Office Tools, with a strong aptitude for excel.
● Quickbooks experience is required.
● Must be accurate, detailed, and well organized in their work.
Physical Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to:
- Regularly sit or stand for long periods of time doing repetitive tasks with hands, pull/push, carry up to 20 pounds, and grasp.
● Frequently walk, reach, and taste, or smell.
● Occasionally climb, stoop/crouch, crawl, carry up to 25 pounds, talk, or hear.
● Clearly see 20+ feet, with or without corrective lenses and differentiate between colors (no color blindness)
