Job Description: We seek a highly skilled Advanced Microelectronics Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with cutting-edge technology and possess a deep understanding of electronic devices. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Repair and Maintenance:
    • Perform repairs on GPUs, motherboards, sensors, and other surface-mount components.
    • Conduct Xilinx chip reflow and other advanced reflow techniques.
    • Troubleshoot and repair advanced PCB main boards for image processing on LCD monitors.
  • Component Replacement and Upgrades:
    • Replace laptop screens and upgrade soldered memory on laptops.
    • Efficiently replace parts and components, restoring devices to their original performance standards.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Advanced understanding of oscilloscopes and ohmmeters for diagnostics and troubleshooting.
    • Analyze and understand complex board designs, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions.
  • Other
  • This role will be responsible for installation, troubleshooting and repairing electronic assemblies and systems
  • Additional duties may include providing assistance to Engineering Department and production testing
  • Troubleshoots electronics down to the component level to determine cause and remedy of any malfunction
  • Performs required repairs to return unit to operational state
  • Troubleshoots electrical problems to determine root cause of issue and recommend a corrective action
  • Sets up and tests units to meet specified requirements
  • Recognizes failures and set up problems, isolates problems, and takes appropriate action to resolve those problems
  • Operates oscilloscopes, multi meters, and test fixtures, and understand their use and function
  • Operates hand tools and small power tools and understands their use and function
  • Reports all unresolved and/or potential problems that would negatively affect project schedules
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in soldering microelectronics and performing advanced reflow techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to disassemble and reassemble a variety of electronic devices.
  • Proficiency in replacing electronic components and performing advanced repairs on GPUs, motherboards, and sensors.
  • Strong understanding of electronic board designs and troubleshooting methods.
  • Expertise in using oscilloscopes and ohmmeters for diagnostics.
  • Keen attention to detail and a high level of precision in all tasks.
  • Passion for working with high-tech electronic devices and a continuous desire to learn and improve skills.
  • Degree in Electronic Engineering
