Position: Party Rental Service Driver

 

Responsibilities:

 

  1. Safe Transportation: Safely transport party rental equipment, including tents, chairs, tables, and other supplies, to event locations. Adhere to traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations while operating company vehicles.
  2. Loading and Unloading: Accurately load and unload rental equipment, taking utmost care to prevent damage during transit. Use proper lifting and securing techniques to ensure the safety of the equipment.
  3. Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by delivering equipment on time and in excellent condition. Interact professionally and courteously with customers, assisting them in setting up and taking down equipment as needed. Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and in a friendly manner.
  4. Inspections and Reporting: Perform routine inspections of rental equipment before and after transportation to identify any maintenance or repair needs. Report any damages, malfunctions, or maintenance requirements promptly to the appropriate department.
  5. Route Planning and Scheduling: Follow designated routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries and pickups. Plan efficient routes to optimize time and fuel consumption.
  6. Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery/pickup details. Complete necessary paperwork or digital documentation to ensure accurate billing and inventory tracking.
  7. Warehouse Support: Collaborate with the operations team to coordinate logistics, inventory management, and scheduling of deliveries. Assist in warehouse duties, such as equipment cleaning, organizing, and maintenance, when required.
  8. Safety Awareness: Maintain a high level of safety awareness throughout all aspects of the job. Identify and report any potential safety hazards or concerns.
  9. Professional Conduct: Present yourself in a professional and courteous manner while representing the company. Follow the company's dress code and grooming standards, and adhere to ethical guidelines and policies.

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  1. Driving Skills: A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are fundamental requirements. Strong driving skills, including the ability to operate large commercial vehicles safely and navigate different road conditions, are crucial.
  2. Customer Service: Excellent customer service skills are essential for interacting with clients in a friendly, professional, and helpful manner. Being patient, attentive, and responsive to customers' needs and inquiries is vital.
  3. Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication is crucial for coordinating with customers, colleagues, and warehouse staff. Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary for providing instructions, answering questions, and conveying information accurately.
  4. Time Management: Being punctual and efficient in managing deliveries and pickups is important to ensure on-time service. Effective time management skills, including planning routes, estimating delivery times, and meeting deadlines, contribute to a smooth operation.
  5. Physical Stamina: Party Rental Drivers often handle heavy equipment and assist with setting up and taking down items at event locations. Physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry objects are important for this role.
  6. Attention to Detail: Having an eye for detail is crucial for accurately loading and unloading equipment and ensuring its proper functioning. Attention to detail helps in conducting routine inspections, reporting any damages or maintenance needs, and maintaining accurate records.
  7. Problem-Solving: The ability to think on your feet and solve problems quickly and efficiently is valuable. Addressing unexpected situations, such as road closures or equipment malfunctions, requires problem-solving skills to minimize disruptions and find suitable solutions.
  8. Teamwork: Collaboration with colleagues and the operations team is essential for coordinating logistics, inventory management, and scheduling. Being a reliable team player who can work well with others contributes to the overall success of the party rental service.
