Job DescriptionJob Description

Busy Cardiology practice seeking a full-time Medical Assistant. Must have graduated from an accredited program for Medical Assistants. Prefer at least two (2) years of relevant related experience, preferably in a clinic setting. Requires excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills. Preferably cardiology experience.

Responsibilities
- Provide medical administrative support by scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and handling billing procedures.
- Perform basic life support procedures and assist with patient care under the supervision of healthcare providers.
- Utilize physiology knowledge to accurately assess patients' conditions and provide appropriate care.
- Utilize medical terminology to communicate effectively with healthcare team members and patients.
- Conduct intake procedures, including gathering patient information and medical history.
- Take vital signs and record them accurately in patient charts.
- Code diagnoses and procedures using ICD coding for accurate billing and record-keeping.
- Assist with X-Ray procedures as needed.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure efficient clinic operations.
- Demonstrate strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Display leadership qualities when guiding patients through procedures and treatments.
- Apply cardiology knowledge when assisting with cardiac-related procedures.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with patients and colleagues to provide high-quality care.

Qualifications:

  • Prefer at least two (2) years of relevant related experience, preferably in a cardiology clinic setting
  • Requires excellent communication
  • Strong organizational skills
  • time management and leadership skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
