Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our medical/surgical team. As a Registered Nurse in the medical/surgical unit, you will provide direct patient care, administer medications, perform various procedures, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of care for our patients.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide direct patient care in a medical/surgical setting
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Perform catheterizations, dialysis, and other specialized procedures as needed
- Provide care for patients with dementia and memory care needs
- Utilize electronic health record systems to document patient information accurately
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment plans, and self-care techniques
- Assist with discharge planning and ensure smooth transitions of care
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff

Qualifications:

- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illionis
- Minimum 2 years of experience in acute care or medical/surgical setting
- Proficient in medication administration, including venipuncture
- Experience with dementia care and memory care preferred
- Knowledge of durable medical equipment (DME) usage and management
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
