Receptionist (Home Health)

This Position takes calls, routes calls and takes thorough messages when a call is intercepted.
Provide basic information to caller in a professional, courteous manner and helps manager as
requested. Direct in-office walk-ins to the appropriate employee, manager or owner.

Duties:
- Operates a multi-line phone system and screens incoming calls to send the call to the
appropriate department.
- Minimizes the time callers are on hold and checks back with them frequently to ensure
they are still willing to hold or receive a call back.
- Takes detailed messages when a call cannot be completed including caller’s name,
telephone number, time of call and information requested.
- If the caller is asking for patient information, we need to confirm the patient’s D.O.B,
address and check the contact details that we have on our patient profile before we can
continue the phone call. Patient’s privacy is most important as we are HIPAA compliant.
- Must have the ability to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with
co-workers, accept constructive criticism and follow procedures.
- Follow up calls made out to Physician’s offices for documents that we need returned to
us in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all tasks on the front office checklist are completed daily.
- Thorough understanding of business imperatives and how the role directly impact
metrics
- Maintains an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with
company policies and procedures.
- On-call rotation with attractive bonus pay structure

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be task oriented and computer organized.
- Proficiency in office skills, including typing and computer skills, professional
dialogue while providing customer service with a smile.
- Minimum of one year of experience working in a home health office required.
