We are seeking a skilled and experienced Landscape Construction Manager to join our team. As a Landscape Construction Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of landscape construction projects, from conception to completion. Your primary duties will include project management, team leadership, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with regulations and quality standards. This is a year-round position, with winter management requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and execute landscape projects within budget and on schedule.
  • Layout plan design, shoot grades, and double-check landscape project measurements.
  • Lead and motivate teams of landscapers, subcontractors, and other personnel to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Manage project budgets, track expenses, and optimize costs while maintaining quality standards.
  • Utilize knowledge of landscape construction methods, materials, and equipment to ensure the proper implementation of designs and specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, zoning regulations, and environmental permits relevant to landscape construction projects.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members, providing clear instructions and updates throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify and address challenges that may arise during construction, such as site constraints, material shortages, or unforeseen issues.
  • Maintain high-quality standards throughout the construction process, including attention to detail and adherence to design plans.
  • Ensure a safe work environment for all workers by adhering to occupational health and safety regulations and safety protocols.
  • Implement sustainable landscaping principles and practices to minimize environmental impact and enhance the long-term viability of landscapes.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years (3 years with a degree in field) of experience in landscape construction management.
  • Minimum of of 5 years in commercial snow removal.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong project management skills with a proven track record of successfully completing projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent leadership and team-building abilities.
  • Proficiency in budgeting, cost control, and resource management.
  • Thorough understanding of landscape construction techniques, materials, and equipment.
  • Knowledge of local building codes, zoning regulations, and environmental permits.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Commitment to safety and sustainability practices.
