Commercial Plumbing Helper

Stryker Heating, Cooling & Plumbing, Inc. is experiencing rapid growth within its plumbing department and is seeking experienced commercial plumbing helpers to join our team. We work throughout the counties (and surrounding areas) of Hunterdon, Somerset, Warren, and Morris of New Jersey in addition to some areas of Eastern Pennsylvania.

**All applicants must**:

- Arrive to work and to each job site on time, every day. (Our normal hours are Monday-Friday from 7:00AM-3:30PM. We do our best to limit overtime, but on occasion it is necessary as emergencies arise.)
- Have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Have a reliable form of transportation to get to/from job sites daily
- Adhere to all safety procedures and policies
- Adhere to current codes and regulations as applicable to the work being performed

**Commercial Plumbing Helper Responsibilities**:

- Assist plumbing journeyman to install new plumbing systems and fixtures for new commercial and industrial construction projects.
- Adhere to current codes and regulations in relation to all plumbing so that that systems will pass inspection and are installed according to plans/specs.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and properly diagnose issues, if they arise, with the plumbing systems that are installed by the Stryker team.
- Assist in completion of full rough and finish of waste, vent, water, storm, gas, compressed air, and other piping systems from the ground up.
- Coordinate in-field installations with other trades and project management on commercial job sites.

**Commercial Plumbing Helper** **Qualifications**:

- 3+ years of in-field commercial plumbing experience required.
- Must have the capacity to learn to read schematic diagrams, blue prints, and other specifications.
- Familiarity with plumbing and other codes, laws, and regulations as related to the plumbing field.
- Ability to work primarily independently, but also as part of a team.
- Must have great communication skills, especially on a technical level.
- Excellent organizational skills a must.

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
