We are seeking entry level Machine Operators for a temporary opportunity with a plastics fabrication company in Costa Mesa, CA The Machine Operator is responsible for maintaining a safe working environment, operating machinery, performing secondary operations, and packaging products We have 1st and 2nd shifts available

The Machine Operator will be responsible to:

  • Operates a molding machine(s) or performs assembly operations as trained by Lead or Supervisor to produce parts or assemblies that meet quality requirements.

  • May be required to operate multiple machines or perform rework and/or secondary operations such as drilling holes, milling gates, trimming flash, trimming gates, etc..

  • Visually inspect parts to ensure quality standards are met. Any questions regarding part quality should be directed immediately to a Lead Person or Supervisor.

  • Use the proper tool for the job. (Knives, cutters, lights, etc.). If the right tool is not available or damaged, request a replacement tool from the Lead Person or Supervisor.

  • Count, identify and label production parts or components as instructed by Lead Person or Supervisor.

  • Accurately record machine hours and Operator labor hours on the Work Order Sheets and on Secondary Operations Sheets if requested.

  • Give Operator breaks and relieve molding machines as required.

  • Keep the work area clean and organized at all times.

  • Make recommendations on improvements in production methods.

  • Perform tasks in any department based on business needs.

  • Must adhere to ISO 9001 / AS9100 / ISO 13485 Quality Systems Procedures.

  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Documentation Practice (GDP).

  • Adhere to Safety Practices and report any unsafe conditions to the supervisor.

 

The Machine Operator requirements to be considered:

  • 1+ year of general warehouse experience

  • Prior experience as a machine operator in injection molding or general assembly helpful, not required

  • Be able to communicate in English. (Bilingual in Spanish and English helpful)

  • Reliable, good attendance

  • Machine Operator Work Hours: 1st shift: 7am-3pm, 2nd shift: 3pm-11pm
