Your primary responsibility will be to follow all SOPs for the washdown room and sanitation processes. You'll ensure that all vats, tanks, utensils, and equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, contributing to the overall efficiency and safety of the production floor and warehouses.Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and Sanitize: Thoroughly wash and sanitize all mobile and stationary vats, utensils, and equipment according to SQF standards and GMP procedures.
  • Maintain Clean Areas: Keep the production floor and warehouses clean and safe.
  • Equipment Handling: Disassemble and reassemble equipment as directed for thorough cleaning.
  • Safety First: Always use appropriate PPE during cleaning and sanitation tasks.
  • Versatile Access: Utilize stairs, ladders, and mezzanines to clean and sanitize large vats and tanks.
  • Supply Management: Replenish cleaning and sanitation supplies as needed.
  • Team Support: Assist in disposing of trash and recyclables and restocking supplies in restrooms, break rooms, and on the production floor.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 0-2 years of experience in sanitation or a related field is helpful but not required. Experience in food manufacturing or packaging is a plus.
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to multi-task and perform accurately in stressful situations.
  • Keen attention to detail is critical.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • Physical Requirements: Must have specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
