Role Summary: The Director of Distribution will oversee all aspects of our large distribution center in the Chicagoland suburbs. This role involves leading warehouse operations, logistics, inventory control, and team development, with a focus on enhancing efficiency and driving continuous improvement.

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Salary: $110K – $125K plus bonus potential
  • Health & Retirement: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, and a profit-sharing 401K plan.
  • Time Off: 3 weeks of paid vacation

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Oversight: Lead day-to-day warehouse functions, including receiving, processing, and shipping, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with company standards.
  • Logistics Management: Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, optimizing freight and logistics costs while ensuring timely delivery and adherence to customer routing guides.
  • Quality & Compliance: Maintain high standards of product packaging and outbound quality, manage inventory control measures, and enforce safety protocols in compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Team Leadership: Develop and mentor warehouse supervisors and associates, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Collaborate with HR on recruitment and workforce management, aligning with seasonal demands.
  • Process Improvement: Drive initiatives to optimize warehouse infrastructure, reduce shrinkage, and improve inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and best practices implementation.
  • Vendor Relations: Build and manage relationships with logistics providers, negotiate freight rates, and ensure efficient load optimization for outbound shipments.

What You Bring:
  • BS/BA in Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field preferred
  • 510+ years of leadership experience in distribution, operations and warehouse management, particularly in a CPG or ecommerce environment is preferred
  • Strong leadership abilities with hands-on management experience
  • Proficiency in WMS and familiarity with Oracle, SAP or NetSuite
  • Bi-lingual English / Spanish is preferred
