Marketing Manager

Fast growing software and services company located in Hamilton, Montana is looking for an experienced and innovative individual with marketing passion to aggressively posture and contribute to the high-growth opportunities.
This role is responsible for successfully branding the company and managing the early stages of the buying cycle – from engagement and early education, through qualified lead. The contact pool can be the result of net new contacts or existing contacts – either way, your responsibility is to guide them through these important phases, engaging them via conventional and online channels (website, search, third-party programs, social media).
Works with go-to-market sales teams to understand the business objectives and translate that into marketing goals with an action plan. The manager will be responsible for briefing the supporting work teams on the objectives and plan, and teaming to achieve maximum results.
- Identifies marketing opportunities by identifying consumer requirements; defining market, competitor's share, and competitor's strengths and weaknesses; forecasting projected business; establishing targeted market share.
- Improves product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities; improving product packaging; coordinating new product development.
- Understands the role of content, and bring the ability to successfully map offers/content to the marketing plan.
- Specific focus on contact generation and driving new traffic and unknown visitors to website.
- Ownership from contact creation through to qualified lead.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; etc.
- Important focus on forecasting results effectively as a part of the planning process, then managing to that forecast and tracking and communicating effectively.
Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university required, preferably in the fields of Marketing, Brand Management, or Business.
- 5+ years’ experience in programs and campaign strategy, planning and execution.
- Experience with Search (SEM and SEO) programs focused on exposure/awareness as well as demand generation; portfolio should include 3rd party media campaigns, SEM/SEO, social media & email marketing.
- Experienced in utilizing social media/social CRM as key elements of the marketing mix.
- Experienced in promotion and coordination of conferences and tradeshows.
- Must have B2B marketing experience, specifically in using online for Marketing Awareness & Demand Generation.
- Experience with the oil & gas, refinery, pharmaceutical, or chemical industries is a plus.
- Knowledge of Maximo and Open Text is a plus.
- Advertising or Marketing Agency experience is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experienced marketing professional with deep knowledge of the buyer’s needs and working knowledge of branding processes.
- Proven experience in managing suppliers and other external agencies.
- Specific experience with other lead generation activity is essential.
- Analytical and results orientated individual in tune with ROI associated with marketing activities.
- Knowledge around database marketing and segmentation, including spam regulations globally and how that impacts data management and list pulls.
- Excellent understanding of web marketing with demonstrable success in web programs.
- Ability to develop flyers, brochures and assist in content creation.
- Ability to create comprehensive marketing plans based on business goals, and present to peers and executives gaining alignment and support.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required for communicating with all levels in the organization.
- The ability to plan, schedule and prioritize your own workload is essential.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize activities.
- Ability to objectively review results and optimize and adjust future campaigns.
