Stand Up Reach Operator Job Summary: The Stand-Up Reach Truck Operator is responsible for operating a stand-up reach truck to efficiently handle and manage inventory within the warehouse. This role involves operating specialized equipment to move and store goods, ensuring accurate inventory management and contributing to the smooth functioning of warehouse operations.

Stand Up Reach Operator Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a stand-up reach truck to move, lift, and stack pallets and other goods within the warehouse.
  • Safely navigate the reach truck through narrow aisles and tight spaces to retrieve and store inventory.
  • Perform regular pre-operational checks on the reach truck to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Load and unload goods from trucks and containers, verifying accuracy and inspecting for damage.
  • Organize inventory within the warehouse, ensuring that goods are stored in designated locations and are easily accessible.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory movement and report any discrepancies or issues to the supervisor.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment and prevent accidents.
  • Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed, such as picking orders, packing, and general organization.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to coordinate workflow and achieve operational goals.

Stand Up Reach Operator Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience operating a stand-up reach truck or similar equipment preferred.
  • Certification for operating reach trucks (if required by local regulations).
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Basic math skills for inventory management and record-keeping.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to [specific weight] pounds) as needed.

Stand Up Reach Operator Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods while operating the reach truck.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

Stand Up Reach Operator Work Environment:

  • Warehouse or distribution center setting with potential exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Monday-Friday shift, 7:00pm - 3:30am
