Stand Up Reach Forklift Operator Job Summary:

The stand-up reach forklift operator is responsible for efficiently and safely handling products and materials within the warehouse or storage facility. This role involves using a stand-up reach forklift to lift and transport goods to and from various locations.

Stand Up Reach Forklift Operator Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate Forklift: Safely operate a stand-up reach forklift to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
  • Load and Unload: Load and unload goods from trucks and containers, ensuring accurate placement and handling.
  • Inventory Management: Use forklifts to assist with inventory control by placing items in correct locations and maintaining organized storage areas.
  • Inspection: Conduct pre-operation and post-operation inspections of the forklift to ensure it is in safe working condition.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, including wearing required safety gear and following proper procedures for handling hazardous materials.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and transactions, as required.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and other departments to coordinate tasks and resolve issues.
  • Maintain Cleanliness: Keep work areas clean and free of hazards, ensuring a safe working environment.

Stand Up Reach Forklift Operator Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience operating a stand-up reach forklift is preferred but not always required; on-the-job training may be provided.
  • Certification: Valid forklift operator certification and familiarity with warehouse management systems.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures, good communication skills, and attention to detail.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry items up to a certain weight (often around 50 lbs), stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.

Stand Up Reach Forklift Operator Work Environment:

  • Location: Warehouse or distribution center, often in a climate-controlled environment.
  • Shifts: May require working various shifts, including nights and weekends, depending on the operational needs.
