Behavioral Health Technician

Behavioral Health Technicians at Bridgemark are responsible for providing direct care, supervision, and support to adult male residents undergoing substance use treatment. This role ensures resident safety, well-being, and adherence to program guidelines while fostering a therapeutic environment conducive to recovery. Additionally, the technician assists the clinical team in their efforts to support resident health and recovery.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Assist in the admission process of new clients, including orientation procedures and scheduling.
- Answer client questions and assist clients in adjusting to the program routine.
- Serve as a liaison between clients and staff to report any changes in physical or mental conditions.
- Supervise clients with a focus on safety, ensuring adherence to program rules and regulations.
- Facilitate orientation groups.
- Participate in shift turnover, maintaining continuity of care through documentation and communication.
- Utilize Electronic Health Records (EHR) as required for documentation.
- Monitor client whereabouts at all times and de-escalate any client problems as needed.
- Ensure cleanliness and proper disposal of garbage in group rooms and dining areas.
- Complete required documentation for urine screens and collect screens per agency protocol.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and required staff training.
- Maintain accurate and timely completion of paperwork, incident reports, and client documentation.
- Provide emotional support to clients and refer them to clinical staff for clinical issues.
- Interact respectfully with clients while maintaining professional boundaries and confidentiality.
- Exercise sound professional judgment and seek assistance when necessary to manage client behavior effectively.
