Will Call Warehouse Associate

Since 1935, Allied Supply Company, Inc., is an industry leading, wholesale distributor of Air Filtration, Control Systems, HVACR Parts/Equipment and Refrigeration Products. We are looking for a Full-Time Will Call Warehouse Associate for our Columbus branch. Candidate must be able to work Monday – Friday 40 hours per week.

The Customer Service Warehouse Associate will increase operational efficiency, company profitability and customer satisfaction by accurately and safely receiving and storing materials, as well as picking, packing and scanning orders for pickup and delivery.

 

Job Duties:

  • Pulling, filling, packing and setting up customer orders for pickup.
  • Provide superior service for our customers.
  • Maintain the ability to determine the status of an order at any given time.
  • Follow any special instructions pertaining to an individual order.
  • Process returns accurately.
  • Handle cancellations or changes in sales order and communicate changes with related departments.
  • Communicate positively with supervisors, sales staff, fellow workers and customers to coordinate pick-up.
  • Operate a forklift, pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently, maintain required certification, perform vehicle safety checks and report issues to supervisor.
  • Assist in keeping facility clean, neat, safe and operating efficiently. Light maintenance/cleaning.
  • Follow all established policies and safety guidelines in a drug-free workplace.
  • Maintain proficiency in computerized systems and other technologies as required.
  • Backup delivery driver.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Must be able to adapt to changing schedules and demands to ensure superior customer service.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, supervisors and customers.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Mechanically inclined, general knowledge of Commercial/Residential HVACR systems preferred.
  • Ability to lift and/or move items up to 100 lbs.
  • Operate forklifts in compliance with Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) requirements.
  • Capable of following written instructions and documented procedures.
  • Team player who works productively with wide range of people.
  • Problem-solving and analytical ability.
  • Basic computer/keyboarding skills.
  • Stand/walk for duration of work hours.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a DOT medical certificate.
  • Ability to maintain physical effort throughout the shift including, standing, bending, lifting, stooping, and squatting.
