Summary:

Assist in Quality Assurance audits assuring company standards are maintained and product integrity is preserved. Organize and analyze quality data. Consult with management to resolve quality, production, and efficiency problems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The following are included; other duties may be assigned.

  • Manage concrete monitoring system.
  • Oversee/Maintain and prepare testing equipment.
  • Document and provide data reporting to manager.
  • Perform special testing as required.
  • Act as a liaison between plant and engineering regarding repairs and questions concerning piece parts.
  • Aid in the external and internal quality audits.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and processes within the department.
  • Recommend/implement improvements to the department.
  • Ensure the Quality Systems Manual is followed and maintained per PCI standards.
  • Manage all data collected daily, weekly and monthly.
  • Maintain compliance with calibration requirements of testing and manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.

Knowledge/ Skills

  • Strong computer skills needed; Microsoft Office Proficiency required.
  • Good mathematical aptitude
  • Ability to identify and develop solutions for complex problems.
  • Ability to read/interpret construction documents and technical journals.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exhibits good work ethic and decision making.
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Concrete related experience preferred.
  • ACI certification to complete within first 6 months of employment.
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Material testing and laboratory experience a plus.
