Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the final inspection department, including work assignments, time-off approvals, and the evaluation of operators and potential hires.
  • Conduct a diverse range of inspection tasks, monitoring vendor repairs of engine/module subassemblies and components.
  • Ensure that all repair work adheres to technical manuals, operational guidelines, and engineering specifications, safeguarding the integrity of engine hardware.
  • Review technical documentation and service repair procedures to confirm compliance with established repair processes for subassemblies and components.
  • Validate forms, tags, and vendor serviceability according to established protocols.
  • Perform necessary measurements throughout the inspection process.
  • Conduct visual inspections of tools, gauges, and measuring instruments to verify they meet operational standards and calibration requirements.
  • Execute visual and dimensional inspections of incoming and outgoing parts to assess serviceability or reparability based on approved technical data.
  • Occasionally assist in training, evaluating, and inspecting the work of fellow employees.
  • Review and archive all production and quality control documentation, including inspection reports and certificates.
  • Input various quality control data into the computer database.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in final inspection or a similar capacity is preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to uphold high-quality standards.
  • Strong management skills with a focus on team dynamics.
  • Effective communication abilities.
