Coordinator of EOF Academic Resources Center

We are seeking a Coordinator for the Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) Academic Resource Center. This position will report to the Assistant Director of the EOF Program. The coordinator oversees the EOF Academic Resource Center (ARC) and liaises with other student support service providers at PCCC.
This is a full-time, administrative position.
Example of Duties:
- Coordinates and manages all ARC services provided to EOF students.
- Facilitate academic workshops, including, but not limited to, student learning styles and strategies to strengthen academic proficiency.
- Researches, implements, documents, and assesses evidence-based academic support interventions to provide services for EOF students through the ARC.
- Assists with the development and coordination of EOF Civic Pathway initiatives, including, but not limited to, online mentoring.
- Trains and supervises part-time tutors and staff involved with the EOF Civic Pathway.
- Assists in the development, implementation, and monitoring of Academic Resource Center initiatives.
- Coordinates academic elements of the winter session and pre-freshman summer programs as assigned by the Assistant Director.
- Maintains a virtual presence of the Academic Resource Center (i.e. Academic Resource Center Libguide, Blackboard, and Zoom).
- Tutors individuals and groups of students as needed.
- Initiates communication with EOF counselors regarding student needs and their adherence to ARC requirements.
- Maintains collaborative linkages with other college academic support services as needed.
- Serves as the EOF Program's representative on the Academic Appeals Committee.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the EOF Assistant Director.
Qualifications:
- Must be enrolled in or have completed a Master's degree.
- Minimum of two years of administrative experience working with programs in an urban setting.
- Experience tutoring college students.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally, in writing, and in interpersonal interactions.
- Ability to work with a diverse team of faculty, staff, and students.
- Aptitude for research, supervision, and follow-up with the ongoing functions of EOF's Academic Resource Center.
- Sensitivity to the needs of the student population of an urban community college.
- Proficient use of the Microsoft Suite, including, but not limited to, Word and Excel.
