Job DescriptionJob Description

SUMMARY

This position is primarily responsible for the field operations of the Service Department, and for being the top technical resource for all problems relating to the safe and reliable operation of equipment in the Company’s service portfolio. The position is directly responsible for being the final step in diagnosing and fixing equipment related issues and problems. Responsible for timely support of all service mechanics. Directly responsible for margin for repair and service of all products in company portfolio.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

· Develop and implement “first fix” methods and best practices for all service technicians.

· Maximize use of available resources so that equipment is correctly repaired on the first visit.

· Professional and responsive communication with all customers.

· Manage the training and developing all service technicians.

· Support Sales with estimating repairs.

· Direct Service Coordinators in scheduling repairs.

· Provide timely support to Service Coordinators in scheduling callouts according to company’s priority callout process.

· Primary Lead of all Service mechanics in servicing and leading commercial/home elevators.

· Build a loyal team that works together collectively to achieve objectives.

· Control spending. Make sure expenditures have justifiable ROI and that effort has been made to get the best price possible for the services or equipment/tools.

 

SUCCESS MEASURES

· Billable / Non-Billable ratio at or above 45% for service department.

· First Fix Rate at or above 75% for service department over a rolling 90 Day Period.

ü Delivering quality repairs or service visits

ü Zero OSHA recordable

ü Being part of a team and making it better

ü Strong work ethic and team player

ü Maintain accurate and complete documentation of service and repair jobs

ü Maintain professional communication with customers and technicians
