Job Description:

As a Senior Expert Manufacturing Technical Specialist, you will work directly with team members and assist in production processes. You must adhere to all Safety and ESD requirements and follow documentation and instructions to consistently produce high-quality PCB rework and modifications. Under general supervision and working from standardized manuals and procedures, you will perform a variety of moderately complex duties within a manufacturing environment. You will assist with first-level troubleshooting and implement corrective actions and process improvements as necessary.

 

Experience: Minimum of 5 years in PCB assembly and repair, manual hand soldering, and automated equipment operation.

 

Skills:

  - Good hand-eye coordination for all processing requirements.

  - Proficiency in using basic hand tools, automated equipment, microscopes, and soldering equipment within a production environment.

  - Strong soldering skills using leaded and lead-free solder wire & solder pastes.

  - Experience building Surface Mount PCBs from drawings & schematics.

  - Ability to work with very small parts using a microscope for 8 hours per day, plus overtime if needed.

  - Skilled in using automated equipment to remove PCB surface mount parts.

  - Strong knowledge of Printed Circuit Board workmanship criteria and standards.

  - Professional and effective interaction with all team members.

  - Ability to work with and complete Engineering requests as necessary.

  - Strong ability to prioritize workload with minimal direction.

  - Ability to juggle priorities to meet production demand.

  - Ability to follow LEAN manufacturing processes.

 

Additional Qualifications:

  - Experience with LEAN, Six Sigma, and 5S methodologies is a plus.

  - Flexibility and strong teamwork ethics to meet business objectives and department goals.

  - Specialized training/certification in PCB repair standards is preferred.

 

This role requires a dedicated individual who can balance multiple priorities, follow detailed procedures, and work efficiently within a team to achieve production goals.
