Duties and Responsibilities

  • Shipping, receiving and storage of all inventory and supplies.
    • Maintain all relevant paperwork associated with shipping, receiving and storage of inventory.
  • Maintain strict control over inventory levels to meet internal and external demand of product.
    • Work alongside office staff and Warehouse Manager to maintain and order inventory
    • Conduct periodic spot-checks of inventory levels, supplies, and equipment.
    • Identify discrepancies between inventory records and take appropriate action.
  • Maintain and repair equipment as needed.
  • Daily processing of orders for both customers, delivery vans and satellite warehouses.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Maintain appropriate documentation regarding regulated products and/or hazardous materials.
  • Drive commercial delivery vehicle for service sales support.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities


  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Strong numerical ability.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Excel & Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must possess basic mechanical aptitude.
  • A persistent and positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
  • Previous work experience in a warehouse setting is an asset.


Qualifications

 

  • Education in warehousing or similar
  • Possession of a valid Forklift License is an asset.
  • Working knowledge of WHMIS with GHS is an asset.
  • Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs repeatedly.
  • Clean driving record and habits.


Working Conditions

The bulk of work time will be spent in the warehouse and at your desk. Duties often will be performed indoors and occasionally outdoors, that may be without air conditioning and/or with minimal heating in any weather condition.

 

Physical Requirements

Must have adequate manual dexterity to write legibly and perform required duties on the computer. Duties require twisting, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Ability to maneuver large volume drums with some mechanical assistance is required.
