This Assistant Property Manager role would be ensuring positive tenant experiences while implementing industry best practices throughout this privately held portfolio.

Assistant Property Manager responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent tenant service; ensuring policies are being followed and resolving any issues quickly and professionally.
  • Effectively coordinate vendor relationships to ensure service expectations and contract obligations are met and costs are within budget and/or opportunities for expense savings are achieved.
  • Monitor the accounts receivable and accounts payable processes to meet established goals for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Monitor and direct the work of the Property Management Project Coordinator, providing thorough information and training, promptly responding to questions, resolving issues.
  • Responsible for building walk throughs and ensuring the properties are properly maintained and any issues are addressed and resolved in a timely fashion.

  • Provide professional and timely communications to the tenants.
  • Resolve tenant concerns in a professional and positive manner.
  • Work closely with the facility team ensuring resolution of facility/tenant requests and issues.
  • Assist in the tenant move-in and move-out processes in a timely and coordinated manner including, but not limited to, orienting new tenants to property management office staff, services and procedures, building access, and insurance requirements.
  • Produce monthly labor billing reports to Senior Property Manager and Facilities Operations Manager for review.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget.
  • Identify and make well thought out recommendations to Senior Property Manager for opportunities to reduce operating expenses and/or generate additional income.

Assistant Property Manager Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years' experience in a property management function in a commercial real estate environment or Project Management experience.
  • Ability to quickly develop relationships and connect with people.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to effectively address and resolve sensitive tenant and vendor issues
  • Organized and ability to manage multiple workstreams at any given time.
  • Detail-oriented, problem solver and have the skill to handle multiple projects, manage time efficiently, and be appropriately reactive as well as proactive in daily and ongoing tasks and responsibilities.
  • Ability to work onsite and travel throughout the local portfolio (Oakdale/Woodbury/Lake Elmo) Monday through Friday 800-430pm.
