Position Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will maintain our SharePoint systems infrastructure, providing expert-level knowledge to the team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in systems engineering and expertise in administering and managing Windows Server 2019 and SharePoint 2019 environments.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain high-performance systems and infrastructure including installation, configuration, architecture, administration, patching and deployment of SharePoint.
  • Knowledge of using Central Administration and STSADM tool and PowerShell to maintain SharePoint administrative tasks.
  • Experience with SharePoint web parts, Workflow, and Office Online.
  • Ensure systems meet business requirements and performance targets.
  • Develop and enforce best practices for system design, implementation, and maintenance.
  • Serve as the SME for SharePoint providing deep technical expertise and guidance.
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Assist with administering our Azure Windows environment, Cohesity backup and Nutanix on-prem Windows servers.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring tools and processes to ensure system health and performance.
  • Identify and resolve system issues and bottlenecks.
  • Continuously optimize systems for performance, reliability, and security.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system designs, configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Provide regular reports on system performance, issues, and project status to management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or 2+ years equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in systems engineering.
  • Proven experience in Windows Server and SharePoint administration.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools.

Compensation and Benefits

The projected compensation range for this position is $115,000 to $135,000 per year benchmarked in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Salary at LCG is determined by various factors, including but not limited to role, location, the combination of education/training, knowledge, skills, competencies, certifications, and work experience.
