The Senior Director of Marketing will lead the marketing strategy for the company’s B2B services, aiming to increase brand awareness, generate leads, and drive sales growth. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep experience in B2B marketing, particularly in the service industry, who can oversee multi-channel marketing initiatives and manage high-performing sales and creative services teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Planning:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive B2B marketing strategy aligned with company goals.
    • Conduct market analysis to identify industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
    • Create and manage the annual marketing budget specific to the Higher Education B2B service sector.
  2. Team Leadership
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of professionals.
    • Set clear objectives, KPIs, and performance metrics for the sales and creative services departments.
    • Encourage a culture of innovation and collaboration within the teams.
  3. Campaign Management
    • Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns across various channels (digital, content, email, events, etc.).
    • Oversee the creation of high-quality marketing content tailored for B2B audiences, including whitepapers, case studies, webinars, and thought leadership articles.
    • Measure and analyze campaign performance, adjusting strategies to maximize ROI and lead generation.
  4. Brand Management
    • Ensure consistency in brand messaging and positioning across all marketing materials and channels.
    • Strengthen the company’s brand presence in the B2B market.
    • Manage public relations and external communications to enhance the company’s reputation.
  5. Lead Generation and Nurturing:
    • Develop and implement strategies for effective lead generation and nurturing.
    • Implement and maintain marketing automation tools to manage and score leads, ensuring seamless handoff to the sales team.
    • Analyze lead conversion metrics and optimize the sales funnel.
  6. Market Research:
    • Conduct ongoing market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and client preferences.
    • Use data-driven insights to inform marketing strategies and decision-making.
    • Regularly report on market dynamics and campaign effectiveness to senior leadership.
  7. Partnerships and Collaborations:
    • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, industry influencers, and strategic partners.
    • Research, recommend, and manage third-party vendors and service providers to support marketing initiatives.
    • Negotiate and manage sponsorships and partnerships that enhance the company’s market presence.
  8. Product and Service Positioning:
    • Collaborate with product development and service teams to align marketing efforts with new product and service launches.
    • Provide market insights and client feedback to support product and service enhancements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Extensive experience in a senior B2B marketing role, particularly in the service industry.
  • Proven track record of successful B2B marketing campaigns and lead generation.
  • Expertise in digital marketing, content marketing, and marketing automation tools.
  • Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal skills and team management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Creative thinker with strategic vision and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Valid (non-suspended or limited) Driver’s License and/or dependable transportation.

Physical Requirements:

  • This is primarily an office-based job that may require sitting for extended periods of time.
  • This position may require up to 10% travel, primarily for conferences and other business-related events. Travel will be arranged in advance and all associated expenses will be covered by the company.
  • Good vision, with or without corrective lenses, to sustain adequate visual focus over a period of time.
  • Fine motor skills, including, but not limited to, the full, complete use of and muscle control required to make precise hand movements, relative to tasks requiring hand-eye coordination, muscle coordination and dexterity.
  • We are a manufacturing facility, with an unmatched reputation. This reputation has grown, in part, over many years by everyone “pulling together” when needed. Therefore, while the primary focus is for the aforementioned position, being physically able to push/pull/lift/carry supplies and various works in progress of at least 35-50 pounds, for example, is important.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Full-Time, Salaried position, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm with travel as needed.
