Staff Source is seeking an experienced  Machine Field Wire Technician for their facility located in Livonia, MI.  This company offers robotic automation solutions including the support of manufacturing, assembly inspections and complete systems integrations.  The Machine Field Wire Technician is responsible for wiring machines in the facility, this is to include reading blueprints, drawings, schematics, run off, debug and improve tool offerings to ensure equipment is running properly according to customer specifications.   This is a Temp to hire Day shift position Monday through Friday.  Saturday work would be required after hire in.  Consideration for hire in occurs after 480 hours of work.  Also some travel is required as well after hire in.  The rate of pay is a range from $22.00 to $35.00/hourly dependent upon level of experience.

 

Responsibilities/Requirements for Machine Field Wire Technician:

  • Responsible for wiring and building industrial control panels based off of blueprints, schematics and or/wire schedule
  • Must be able to do point to point wiring and have basic solid  knowledge of wiring including; stripping, crimping, wire routing, etc.
  • Per blueprint, must be able to wire and label electrical subpanels and enclosures
  • Per blueprint, mount and interconnect components to equipment
  • MUST  have experience with panel fabrication and component lay out, electrical assemblies, controls, and wiring.
  • Must be able to mount and interconnect electrical components to equipment/machines
  • Must be able to trouble shoot and to work on complex projects and re-wire where necessary.
  • Experience with Pneumatics would be strongly preferred
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs and stand for most of the day
  •  Must have experience with basic hand tools
  • Must be computer proficient
  • Must have experience in above mentioned work for a period of 2-4 years
