Job Summary
Are you a pet lover with a passion for customer service and desire learn and grow? If so, wed like to hear from you We are seeking an outgoing, enthusiastic and organized individual to add to our bustling hospital's receptionist team. As a veterinary receptionist, you are the first point of contact and representation when clients call or visit our hospital. This position requires strong communication and customer service skills, the ability to multi-task, and the capacity to use tact and diplomacy in all situations. You will greet pet owners and check in pets, schedule appointments, process payments, and generally ensure that the hospital is a welcoming place.

Responsibilities
  • Greet & welcome pet owners as they arrive in a friendly and professional manner
  • Treat clients as you would want to be treated
  • Check in pets for their appointments
  • Collect and confirm pet and owner information
  • Answer phones, respond to emails & send text messages
  • Schedule, confirm, and cancel appointments
  • Process payments
  • Provide advocacy for our clients and patients
  • Willingness to share, brainstorm and implement new ideas to grow our hospital
  • Desire to learn more about the field of veterinary medicine
  • Ensure the smooth running of our front desk
  • Other administrative duties, as assigned
  • Light cleaning duties

Qualifications
  • At LEAST 1yr of veterinary related experience
  • Veterinary CSR certificate desired but now required
  • Cheerful, friendly, and enthusiastic personality
  • Effective communication with clients and coworkers
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Proficient in computer skills, scheduling software, and other technology
  • Team Player
  • Familiarly with basic veterinary knowledge and animal husbandry
  • Comfortable working around a variety of animals
