We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Installation Technician to join our team As an Installation Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient installation and maintenance of our high-fidelity simulation platforms. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with technology and has a strong attention to detail.

*This is a position that requires availability/willingness to travel frequently*

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the installation of simulator equipment
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on simulator components to ensure optimal performance
  • Troubleshoot and repair issues with simulator equipment, working collaboratively with other team members as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, usage, and maintenance activities
  • Provide technical support and guidance to users as needed
  • Collaborate with the training team to develop and implement customized training programs for clients
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our simulators' capabilities and limitations
  • Identify opportunities to improve installation and maintenance processes, proposing solutions as needed
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company safety policies and procedures

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in the installation, maintenance, or repair of electronic equipment or machinery is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with computer systems, software applications, and networking technologies is a plus
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights (e.g., ladders) is required
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills are necessary for success in this role
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and multitask is crucial
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; some college or technical training in a related field (e.g., electronics, mechanics) is preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with fleet vehicles or simulation platforms is advantageous
  • Knowledge of transmission systems, clutching, and gear shifting is a plus
  • Familiarity with AWS Student-Driver Profile Tracking technology is desirable
  • Certification in electrical, mechanical, or computer-aided design (CAD) software is preferred
