Job Summary:

In Search of an experienced, self-motivated Maintenance Technician with a prior technical background in Manufacturing and Industrial equipment. The position requires the ability to perform Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair, installation, modification, and set-up to include connection of electrical wiring and wiring of switches and control boards. The work is primarily characterized by overall responsibility for the facility equipment, however other responsibilities for building upkeep and other mechanical assignments may be included with this work.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform tests and run initial operation to make sure that the machine is running smoothly.
  • Detect minor problems by performing basic diagnostic tests.
  • Test malfunctioning machinery to determine whether major repairs are needed.
  • Develop or revise procedures needed for preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production runs.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance of production equipment during machine service intervals.


Abilities, Skills

· Lift or maneuver equipment up to 50 lbs.

· Operate Mill.

· Operate Lathe.

· Basic Welding.

· Use hand and power tools, electric meters.

· Understanding of Ladder diagrams.

· Understanding of Pneumatic and hydraulic schematics.

· Understanding of instructional and operating manuals.

· Documenting all repairs and keeping track of machine parts used for repair.

· Demonstrated skills to complete work independently with minimal supervision.

· Good verbal and written communication skills. Communicate with others, providing direction to operate, troubleshoot & maintenance.

· Ability to plan, prioritize and organize work.

· Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.


QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • An associate degree in a technical field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience working as a Machine/Maintenance Technician (experience in the Manufacturing industry is a plus)
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently in demanding situations.
  • Must be able to perform basic math computations.
  • Must have the ability to learn new technologies.
  • Ability to work on a flexible schedule.
  • Bilingual is a plus.

Monday to Friday from 2pm - 10:30pm
