Internationally recognized A&E design firm is leading the design and construction administration of a 10+ year multi-billion dollar redevelopment project at Yale University for the School of Engineer and Applied Sciences. Immediately seeking a 10+ year Registered Architect or Licensed Engineer for a Project Management / Construction Administration role directly on site at the University. 

Role + Responsibilities:  

  • Serves as primary contact for day-to-day project progress for a large scale multi-phased academic Science and Engineering research complex.
  • Will work directly with the firm’s leadership in all aspects of the project construction process.
  • This is a high-visibility role on a high-profile project with extensive client and construction manager interaction, collaboration with the architectural, interiors, and engineering discipline leadership and extensive consultant team engagement.
  • Administer technical drawings and specs to ensure that construction aligns to drawings, specs, codes, standards, and client requirements.
  • Represent the entire design team while co-located with the client and construction manager. 

Technical Experience:

  • Professional Engineering or Architectural License is required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in an engineering or architectural role, with a strong emphasis on Construction Administration.
  • Knowledge of and experience with the construction of large academic research labs, hospitals or biomedical spaces. 
  • Ability to facilitate the execution of the project as designed and documented. Experience coordinating with a large and complex team.
  • Represent company at all construction meetings for the various project components and phases.
  • Coordinate with other team members who will be making weekly site visits.
  • Collaborate with the design team to produce field site visit reports, review submittals, and respond to Requests for Information

This is an on-site position based in New Haven, CT. 

Position is not eligible for remote work (WFH), though the Construction Administration Representative will attend remote meetings as needed.
