Job DescriptionJob Description

Role: Loan administrator duties. Originates and process loan applications. Provides loan documentation support in facilitating loan preparation. Serves as a liaison with lending team, members, and dealerships to ensure compliance.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Processes loans including but not limited to verification of collateral, income, credit, and debit ratio.

• Cross trained to support consumer and mortgage lending.

• Explains loan programs and advises on loan options and requirements to dealerships, members and/or employees.

• Communicate loan status to the Loan Officer for review and approval.

• Verifies loan amount, rate, and term by reviewing closed loan packets for accuracy and completeness. Ensures compliance with federal lending and credit union regulations, organizational policies, and procedures.

• Compiling data, and preparing reports, data analysis, tracking logs, and records for the Lending Department

• Acts as a liaison, ensuring communication of loan terms and required documents.

• Provides administrative support.

• Logs in to manages skill set calls to support all areas of lending.

• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Knowledge & Skills:

Experience: One year to three years of similar or related experience. Education: A high school education or GED is required.

Interpersonal Skills: Effective communication with contacts inside and outside the organization is essential. Fostering relationships with other entities (companies and individuals) is necessary and often requires the ability to influence and sell ideas or services to members or others. The role requires a significant level of emotional intelligence.

Other Skills: General office equipment such as calculators, computers, photocopiers, and scanners. Maintains confidentiality related to credit union operations and work-related information. Proficient in Microsoft Office software. Must have a proven track record of selling and servicing loans. Must have a working knowledge of regulations affecting consumer lending.

Physical Requirements: Frequently stands or sits in a stationary position.
