Job Title: Electronics Test Technician
Job Summary:
As an Electronics Test Technician, your primary responsibility will be to verify the functionality and compliance of Aerospace and Defense circuit card assemblies, cables, and electronic enclosures according to approved test specifications. You will document test results and maintain all necessary manufacturing and test records.
Schedule:
The work schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts, running from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Thursday.
Duties & Essential Job Functions:
- Conduct functional tests following established test procedures.
- Set up test equipment according to test specifications.
- Perform Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) tests, including thermal and vibration setups and operations.
- Utilize electrical/electronics/RF troubleshooting skills.
- Demonstrate proficiency with computers and experience with MS Office.
- Test and troubleshoot circuit card assemblies, cables, and electronic enclosures.
- Have a strong understanding of test equipment such as multi-meters, frequency counters, power meters, and oscilloscopes.
- Write technical reports detailing test area findings and potential improvements.
Other Functions and Responsibilities:
- Operate and develop flying probe tests.
- Provide minor internal IT support.
- Participate in production and test improvement projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in RF testing and/or electrical/electronic assembly and testing environments.
- An Associate's Degree in Electronic Technology or a similar field (preferred).
- Experience with Aerospace and Defense electronics testing, including roles as an engineering technician, electronics technician, or test engineer.
- Familiarity with J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, and IPC-A-620 standards.
- Experience working with companies such as Honeywell and Jabil is a plus.
- Knowledge of non-destructive testing (NDT) methods.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
- Ability to sit at a computer and perform keyboarding for extended periods.
- Frequent walking, occasional standing, and the ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs occasionally.
