Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Avionics Technician for a six-month contract-to-hire opportunity. This role involves working primarily on weekends and during the first shift.
Key Responsibilities:
The Avionics Technician will engage in a variety of hands-on technical activities related to the evaluation of sophisticated electronic assemblies utilized in space and defense sectors. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting testing, troubleshooting, and fault isolation of electronic assemblies.
- Executing well-defined development tests, system integration, and formal acceptance tests, including environmental assessments.
- Demonstrating proactiveness, effective communication, and discipline throughout all tasks.
Essential Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:
- Experience with General Purpose Test Equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers.
- The ability to interpret schematics, adhere to established procedures, and utilize computer skills to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.
- Proficiency in producing clear and detailed technical documentation, including action registers, engineering orders, and data book entries.
Educational Requirements:
Candidates should have:
- An Associate's degree, technical degree, or equivalent military training/experience.
- U.S. Citizenship, as mandated by government regulations.
