Appointment Setting Specialists are essential in our company. We rely on setting quality appointments to generate revenue. As an appointment setter, you will be responsible for creating new business opportunities by setting up appointments with potential clients utilizing the telephone. The appointment setter is often the first contact with a potential client and therefore responsible for creating a positive customer experience and helping to build relationships between the company and its clients. If you enjoy talking to people and are interested in sales, this is the ideal position for you.

Appointment Setter duties and responsibilities

A competent Appointment Setter is organized, effective, and efficient in their work. Their primary goal is to generate new business opportunities by booking appointments with potential clients. Specific duties include:

  • Familiarize themselves with the products and services offered by the company
  • Research potential clients and generate leads
  • Prioritize which appointments take priority over others to maximize revenue
  • Contact potential clients via cold calling, and email
  • Qualify prospects based on their needs
  • Schedule appointments between qualified prospects and the sales team
  • Ensure each prospective client and potential customer has a positive experience with our company
  • Maintain accurate up-to-date records of all communications with potential clients utilizing the CRM
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • Develop and distribute reports of each day’s appointments
  • Use Microsoft Office suite to manage various aspects of the job
  • Demonstrate a pleasant disposition with each prospect
  • Properly explain the products and services to prospective customers when making appointments
  • Update CRM at the end of each day

Job Qualifications and Skill Sets

  • Minimum high school diploma, some college preferred
  • Highly articulate
  • Fluent in English with a neutral dialect
  • Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work independently in a remote environment
  • Must be able to participate in Zoom video meetings as required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and cloud-based applications
  • Ability to work at least 6 hours each day, M-F between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM EST
  • High attention to detail
  • A positive attitude  
  • Excellent organization skills

Compensation

This is a pay-for-performance position with a bonus opportunity. It is based on the number of appointments booked with, and attended by, prospects. Opportunity for advancement for high achievers.
