Pathfinder Creations is a Studio House dedicated to funding passion projects around the world, with its current focus on funding and guiding deep immersion projects around the globe for documentary work to spark actionable change.

Seeking

Pathfinder Creations seeks adventurers, cultural anthropologists, immersive journalists, human rights activists, documentarians, aid workers and those with similar interests for our newly established Immersive Grant Series.

Description

The Pathfinder Creations Immersive Grant Program is to award a dedicated individual the opportunity, guidance and funding for immersion in an underserved role of their choosing towards a documentary film that helps reveal a problematic circumstance to help sparking actionable change.

Project submissions should reflect immersion in an underserved, subjugated role such as: a bricklayer in Pakistan, tuk tuk driver in India, diamond miner in the Congo, clothing factory worker in Burma, convict highway cleanup worker in The United States, etc.

In addition, Project submissions should reflect a clear beginning and end, including the challenge itself and the attempted final task / climax. I.E. attempting what the strongest of workers might (carrying 100 kilos or working the longest shift). In your application, consider the projected scope of the film as well.

Location​

Projects may be in any country and in any position. No filmmaking experience is necessary, but beneficial.

Expectations

Projects will require a deep commitment and likely prove difficult both physically and mentally.

Final projects will be distributed internationally to major news network, universities, podcasts, film platforms and more. The Grantee will engage in public facing appearances and should expect to be in a spokesperson's role. Grantee may be in the position to affect regulatory change.

Compensation

Grantee will receive a monthly stipend for the duration of their program, all film related expenses, and shared ownership and revenue of all net-profits generated from the final film in perpetuity after initial investors are repaid. Final films will be distributed through Pathfinder Creation’s network results.

Duration

The Grantee’s program duration is in accordance with the Project progress. Required steps include: language learning, immersion, filmmaking, marketing and education. Typical project durations can last between six months to over a year.
