Position Summary

TAG-Ed strengthens Georgia's workforce by providing internships, mentorships, professional development opportunities, immersion experiences and connections to industry professionals. All with the goal to shape the future workforce possibilities and talent of tomorrow.

TAG-Ed is seeking a candidate with program coordination experience. The program coordinator will work with the program manager and other team members to coordinate all program activities, event planning, and recruit volunteers. The position reports to the TAG-Ed Executive Director.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Program Coordination: Coordinate all assigned programs and manage the main project board and corporate volunteers to assist in program coordination as appropriate.
Special Events Coordination: Coordinate and execute program events and program details. Example of events will include panel discussions, career fairs, leadership courses, STEM Day and Day of Code.
Raise Organizational and Program Awareness: Assist Executive Director and other TAG-Ed staff to promote TAG-Ed and TAG Bridge Builders participate in technology community networking events and public speaking opportunities; draft content for marketing collateral and public relations vehicles.
Monitor and Report Progress: Meet with partner organizations to identify and resolve any issues affecting program success; provide regular updates to TAG-Ed leadership and partners to track program success; prepare interim and final reports for documenting program outcomes and opportunities for future growth.

Requirements

This position requires a person with the following characteristics:
New project coordination skills
Strong organization skills and ability to handle a wide range of administrative and tactical duties
Comfortable working on multiple projects at any given time
Ability to interact with diverse audiences including business executives
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills
Enjoys working in a small, fun, high energy environment and willing to work flexible hours, including evenings
Bachelor's degree, preferred
Bilingual candidates fluent in Spanish are encouraged to apply
Grant writing a plus

This is a temporary contract position which could lead to permanent employment.
