PigCHAMP is looking for a Sales Support and Customer Care Specialist to join our team.

 

PigCHAMP serves pork producers and industry professionals in more than 48 countries around the world. PigCHAMP has always been and will always be at the frontier of knowledge management in the swine industry. The "CHAMP" in PigCHAMP is an acronym for "Computerized Health and Management Program".

 

The Sales Support and Customer Care Specialist is responsible for providing support to customers as well as to the sales team during the sales process. The Sales Support and Customer Care Specialist role is to help communicate product information to customers and resolve sales-related issues in a timely manner, generally providing real-time support.

As a Sales Support and Customer Care Specialist you will help PigCHAMP grow by improving our sales processes and productivity. Sales are the biggest driver of our company's success, so your position plays a crucial role as part of the PigCHAMP team.

 

In this role, you will focus on customer needs, product sales and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for maintaining pre- and post-sales contact with clients to facilitate a positive and productive long-term relationship. As part of these responsibilities, you will set customer objectives and KPIs.

 

The Sales Support and Customer Care Specialist will be responsible for selling company products and services by identifying new leads through your own initiative, preparing proposals, educating prospects by attending industry events, face to face meetings (live and virtual), customer calls, trainings, and presentations. This will include planning, implementing, and managing sales content for newsletters, social media, videos, tradeshows, website, webinars, etc.

 

You will maintain a well-developed pipeline of prospects via cold calls, meetings, and presentations to generate new sales.

The Sales Support and Customer Care Specialist will work with prospects and customers to have a clear understanding of their business needs, overseeing sales training materials and suggesting improvements to ensure both customer satisfaction as well as corporate efficiency, staying up-to-date on the latest trends and best practices

 

You will also cross-sell and upsell products and services to existing PigCHAMP clients and their needs grow and evolve.

 

You will track all sales and customer service activity within the company CRM system from initial opportunity through client customer satisfaction for statistical purposes.

 

The Sales Support and Customer Care Specialist will provide our customers with excellent service including answering complex questions and carrying out resolution pertaining to the installation, setup, competitor conversions and overall function and usage of all PigCHAMP products. You will be responsible for ensuring FAQs are maintained and meet client needs.

 

In this role, you will communicate to customers with regards to any account problems and discuss customer concerns and suggestions.

 

Because of your close working relationship with customers and your understanding of their needs, you will also communicate customer and prospect product pain points to the PigCHAMP software development team for potential new product development, and help to prepare material to ensure appropriate material reaches appropriate audiences.

Qualifications

• College degree/diploma in Business, Animal Science, Communications, or related field

• Proven track record of successfully managing customer relationships

• Proven ability to meet and exceed sales quotas

• Documented strong experience/knowledge of the pork industry

• Communication skills, written and interpersonal

• Computer aptitude- Microsoft Office Suite

o Experience with swine record-keeping software a plus

For training purposes, initially the successful candidate will be required to come into the Ames office on a daily basis, however, as you become more knowledgeable, and demonstrate your top-notch performance, this will likely become a hybrid role with occasional in-office meetings (internal and client).

 

The Sales Support and Customer Care Specialist role will involve periodic after hours work and occasional travel in the United States, Canada, and other international locations.
