We are seeking a Director of Nursing to join our home health team You will provide expert guidance and assistance to the Clinical Supervisor and Administrator in all matters relating to the delivery of home health services to assure those quality standards are maintained. Responsibilities:

  • Works cooperatively with the community education staff and Administrator to publicize services and maintain community relations.
  • Implements all policies and procedures among health-related staff.
  • Ensures that qualified professional staff are recruited, hired, oriented, and assigned.
  • Participates in all activities relevant to the professional services furnished, including the development of qualifications and the assignment of personnel.
  • Manages and evaluates the health services program to ensure the quality of service and maintenance of health service policies and standards and assists with annual performance evaluation of all professional staff.
  • Provides leadership in planning for health service staff education programs and encourages continuing education courses and seminars for all personnel.
  • Is available, or ensures a similarly qualified alternate is available, at all times during operating hours.

Qualifications:

  • A registered nurse in the state
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing from a National League for Nursing approved school of nursing preferred
  • Five to eight years of experience in nursing
  • Two years of home health experience
  • Familiarity with medical software and equipment
  • Ability to build rapport with patients
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
