Job DescriptionJob Description

Bond Consultants is a dynamic firm that provides professional employment services to many people with different backgrounds and skills. One of our clients, Global manufacturing firm, is currently looking for a Staff Accountant. This position is direct hire and pays $65-70K (BOE). The Staff Accountant will work in conjunction with the head of Finance to ensure that the assigned day-to-day workflow is processed in a consistent and timely manner, will attain cross-functionality, and backup other accounting functions.

 

Essential Functions

1. Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.

2. Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information

3. Creating periodic financial statements and reports, such as balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and statements of cash flows, including financial analysis, variance explanations,

4. Maintaining the general ledger, Reconciling sub-ledger to general ledger account balances.

5. Prepare and/or review bank account reconciliation.

6. Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and alert the head of dept. if necessary

7. Preparing month-end and year-end close, performing the reporting packages to management and parent company.

8. Assisting with Internal and External Audit preparations.

9. Assessing internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas. Ensures compliance with internal controls and accounting standards

10. Provide follow up on identified issues and discrepancies.

11. Assures all daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines are met in the closing process.

12. Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

 

Education/Experience Required

· Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

· 5+ years of proven accounting experience.

 

Skills Required

1. Knowledge of basic financial and accounting principles.

2. Natural proficiency with math.

3. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

4. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with aptitude to learn new systems.

5. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
