Most recently, a subsidiary MicroPort NaviBot, has been established in the United States to facilitate the further development and enhancement of its orthopedic surgical robots.

Description

MedBot NaviBot is seeking a dynamic Field Service Engineer capable of exceptional performance in a fast-paced organizational environment. This individual will provide technical support at customer locations. In this high visibility role, the individual will provide customer support through the performance of on-site installation, as well as overseeing any necessary diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex capital equipment. This individual will also be responsible for working closely with both internal and internal teams such as Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, Quality, Customer Service, and product representative/distributors. This position requires significant travel.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform on-site installation and operational verification of SkyWalker® surgical robotic systems.
  • Diagnose equipment problems via in-depth troubleshooting and provide repair service of SkyWalker® surgical robotic systems.
  • Perform on-site preventive maintenance of equipment.
  • Provide technical support for all sales and marketing events. Includes both tradeshows and training labs.
  • Responsible for total customer satisfaction and prompt resolution of equipment problems.
  • Communicate and work closely with Customer Service, Sales, and Technical Service.
  • Maintain and manage service inventory of consumables, tools, test equipment, replacement parts for support.
  • Follow SOP’s, Field Service Instructions, technical bulletins, and upgrade instructions for both hardware and software of SkyWalker® surgical robotic systems.
  • Completion of all required reporting of work performed in a timely manner and done in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Managing expenses within established budgetary guidelines.
  • Perform other duties and projects as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or related discipline preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a service environment working with customers to resolve problems related to capital equipment including surgical robotic systems or related medical diagnostic equipment.
  • Hands-on experience repairing software controlled electromechanical medical devices.
  • Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting
  • Experience with FDA 21CFR, ISO13485 and other applicable regulations.
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 70% as required.
  • Limited international travel required.
  • Experience in a start-up environment is desired.
