JOB TITLE:  Legal Receptionist
Schedule:  Monday - Friday 8:30AM - 5:00PM

Pay: $35,000 per Year
Temporary - to - Permanent
Location - Wilmington, DE

Our client is looking for a receptionist for their law office located in Wilmington, DE. This position is full time with a work schedule M-F 8:30am-5:00pm. This position has the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate. 

Summary:

This position is primarily responsible for operating a multi-line telephone system to answer incoming calls and directing callers to appropriate personnel by performing the following duties.  Daily average call volume is 100-150 calls.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties can be assigned.
  • Retrieves messages from voice mail and forwards to appropriate personnel.
  • Answers incoming telephone calls, determines purpose of callers, and forwards calls to appropriate personnel or department.
  • Takes and delivers messages or transfers calls to voice mail when appropriate personnel are unavailable.
  • Answers questions about organization and provides callers with address, directions, and other information.
  • Welcomes on-site visitors, determines nature of business, and announces visitors to appropriate personnel.
  • Updates conference room calendar.
  • Receives, sorts, and routes mail.
  • Ensures reception area is tidy.
  • Maintains telecommunication system by following manufacturer's instructions, updating general voicemail box, and setting time frames for when the phones switch over to voicemail.
  • Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Creates and prints fax cover sheets, memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents when necessary.
  • Performs other clerical duties as needed, such as filing, photocopying, and collating.
  • Notarizes documents.
  • Performs data entry.

  • Consistent attendance is required.
  • Must have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to take initiative, successfully complete all work, have a team-oriented approach.
  • Strong computer skills.
