Byron Crushing & Grinding Services, A Material Recovery Facility established in 2007 and located in Byron, CA is now accepting applications for the Scalehouse Attendant/Weighmaster position.
In this position you will inspect incoming vehicle loads of materials outside of the Scalehouse at our inspection area such as: Greenwaste, Wood, Concrete, Asphalt, Palm, Dirt, etc. If the material meets our specifications, you will then measure/weigh and process the transaction with the incoming customer inside of the Scalehouse. Additionally, you will weigh any outgoing loads of Compost, Topsoil, Base Rock, Wood Chips, etc., and process the transaction with the outgoing customer. The process of "weighing" a load is done with an electronic truck scale.
This Scalehouse position includes proper paperwork and housekeeping. Including but not limited to taking phone calls, working directly with the Owner on special projects, working with the County or other government agencies on periodic inspections, etc.
Schedule: Every Thursday and Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Every Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM (subject to change). Cannot be late because you are responsible for opening the office. Must be able to stay a few minutes after closing if necessary (to allow a customer to finish unloading for example).
Compensation: $tbd.00 per hour but will range from $22-$26 depending on experience.

Background Check:
A seven-year County-Criminal background check is performed on every qualified person prior to start of assignment.
Knowledge Requirements: Must be familiar with different vehicle sizes and types i.e. long bed, short bed, ten wheeler, flatbed, etc. Must be familiar with various landscaping and construction materials. Must be competent with basic mathematics and accounting.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to walk, stand, sit, use stairs. Must be able to be in or around an outdoor environment.
Character Requirements: Must be reliable, dependable, honest, friendly, punctual, able to interact with fellow employees/associates and with customers as well, capable of working in an occasionally loud, fast paced environment. Must be honest and loyal to the Company.
