Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Program Manager to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of multiple projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet the quality standards set by our clients.

In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and sales, to develop and implement project plans, monitor progress, and identify any potential issues or roadblocks. You will be responsible for leading and motivating a diverse team of professionals, ensuring clear communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing the implementation of specific customer contracts involving complex systems and/or government contracts.
  • Plans, directs, controls and coordinates financial and engineering activities for the program(s), and for achieving financial and technical objectives.
  • Organizes interdepartmental activities within a matrix organization; ensuring completion of the program on schedule and within budget constraints.
  • Define operational direction and institute remedial action(s) in order to satisfy customer requirements while achieving project specific sales targets/goals; gross margin targets; percent delivery on-time; bookings targets/goals; and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitors program from project initiation through delivery, interfacing with customer on technical matters.
  • Manages the activities of two or more Programs, exercising supervision in terms of costs, methods and employees.
  • Communicate project status updates to stakeholders, providing regular reports and presentations
  • Conduct regular project meetings, facilitating collaboration and problem-solving
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards
  • Manage project documentation, including project plans, schedules, SLAs, and other project-related documents

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; Masters Degree preferred (MBA)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Product Management for Defense or Electronics Manufacturing industries
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop and execute project plans, monitor progress, and identify and resolve issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of motivating and inspiring teams to achieve project goals
  • Solid understanding of project management principles and methodologies
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools
